We will not forget (Dream Act)

Talk about making a statement. The National Council of La Raza (NCLR), yesterday, launched an online and print ad campaign called WE WILL NOT FORGET. The NCLR wants you to see the ad and have a chance to participate. The ads will be running in Spanish-language newspapers in select states in addition to an online ad campaign in both English and Spanish. The ads feature how members of Congress in both the Senate and the House voted on the "Dream Act." Photos of the senators are also included. Bold move.

This is a wonderful way to see which politicians were for and against the Dream Act. The full version of the poster above has the entire list of politicians and unfortunately to say, it's divided almost equally. If we have a country divided on certain issues, then what makes us think there will be progress? Us normal folk will just have to continue what we do and be ambassadors. Showcase there is hope for Latinos in America; it's all we can do.
