Who is Eric Cortes you ask? I have coordinated countless national marketing strategies, from planning content to monitoring social engagement to conducting analysis and keeping my employers abreast of current trends—specifically in digital campaigns. I have helped previous employers further connect with social following and key influencers in their space, as well as provide social media guidance to key stakeholders. I currently serve as a Healthcare Digital/Social Media Specialist for ICF.
I recently moved to the D.C area from New Jersey, where I managed social media for the Atlantic City Alliance since 2012. My work experience also includes social media with the American Diabetes Association, marketing & promotions for WWSI Telemundo Philadelphia and media relations for the Visit Philadelphia (formerly GPTMC). I also previously worked for Taller Puertorriqueño, Inc.
In 2010, I was proud to be named one of the “Delaware Valley’s Most Influential Latinos,” an event produced by the Philadelphia Multicultural Affairs Congress and Impacto Latin Newspaper, and in 2011, I took home the Hispanic Professional of the Year Award, one of three Excelencia Hispanic Business Awards distributed annually by the Greater Philadelphia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
I graduated from Temple University with a bachelor's degree in Journalism. I also received a master's degree in Writing Studies from St. Joseph's University.
