Over the weekend I finally made it out to El Vez in Center City. My frat brother was craving over it many times so I decided to take my friends there. Word of advise, if you go on a Saturday night, be sure to make reservations in advance (we waited for about 15 min). It's a pretty cool spot and the design is fun; not sure I'd bring a date there though. Very traditional Mexican dishes but with an American style. I love chicken so naturally I ordered the chipotle chicken tacos. Although they are just 3 small tacos, it sort of fills you up.
I guess that's why you have to order a margarita and desert as well! Although I didn't have desert, the "Warm Mexican Chocolate Cake" is probably the funniest thing I ever heard. The best part? Apparently you can order take out! Just visit elvezrestaurant.com and click on the icon for take out.
