Last Saturday, March 7th, 2009 famous Nuyorican poet Maria Teresa Fernandez "Mariposa" came to Taller PR and read some of her poetry. Truly inspirational, she writes/reads about her family, politics and culture. I think everyone, whether Puerto Rican, Colombian, Brazilian, etc. can find Mariposa's poetry amazing.Even if you don't write poetry, I'm sure there's something inside you that wants to come out. One of many things I got out of her lecture/readings was that we (writers) never have writer's block...which is true because we always have something to talk about.
