That Really Doesn't Grind My Gears...Relaxing

You ever get those times where all you want to do is relax? Maybe it's after a weekend of too much partying or after a long week at work? Either way, sometimes staying at home and resting is good for the soul. Whether or not it's going to be like that for me is up in the air since I'm going home today for Father's Day/Dad's Bday (weird I know). However, I'm coming back to Philly Saturday evening for an annual get-to-gether.

Have a great weekend!

Summer Solstice

Summer is just around corner so everyone is celebrating in their own unique way. It's going to be a sunny/warm weekend so I suggest you start your plans...yesterday. Something different you can do is kick off the summer in style as artists from Philly and beyond descend on the Kimmel Center for fifteen hours of nonstop fun—all for only $10! During the day, enjoy family activities, face painting, classical, and dance performances. As the sun sets, get down with indie bands, club dancing, Forte's late-night lounge, and a drag show.

For you bomba y plena enthusiasts, join Tato Torres and Yerbabuena starting at 7:30 p.m. Yerbabuena is a group of composed of musicians, singers and dancers from the New York City area, who share an intense passion for the musical traditions of Puerto Rico and the Caribbean under the musical direction of singer-composer-musician Tato Torres. It's great seeing the Kimmel Center expand with different programming for the summer. Will you join them?

Yuumm...Dominican Food

So hate me for loving food but there's a new restaurant near mi casa! Well actually I don't think it's new but it is under new management. Cafe Colao Restaurant is now open for business serving tasty Dominican food. It includes everything from sancocho, pollo guisado, pernil, arroz amarillo and my favorite...rice with black beans. And for those not really looking to experiment with Latino food, they serve Philly cheesesteaks and other American sandwiches.

Best part, you can call for free delivery! (215) 787-9990. Cafe Colao is reasonably priced as well so you won't be spending that much money. Anyone want to come with and try it?!

That Really Grinds My Gears...Why do you hate the horns?

If you're into futbol then you know what goes on at games. For some reason here in the United States, the "horns" became an issue at the games. I can't believe this is even brought up! Ever since I can remember I hear loud horns during futbol games. And remember, it's futbol, not soccer. I'm not even sure what soccer means. Nonetheless, it seems that every country gets what futbol really means except this one. I still hope the USA gets the World Cup bid for 2018 or 2022...that would be amazing.

P.S. Go Japan! Or Spain!

Tweets on a Warm Day

Warmer weather is here and everyone is more and more excited for summer events. In fact, it seems as though everything always happens in the summer. Let's savor these moments because soon it'll be 20 degrees...at least we don't live in Chicago j/k. Here are today's tweets of the day.

RTing something funny is always a plus.

Are we really excited about the new iphone? What about iphone5?

Yes. I'm super excited for this movie!

Ikea. It should be part of our everyday tweets.

What's A Day Like At Sesame Place?

I'm a huge fan of Sesame Street and it's been years since I went to Sesame Place in Langhorne, PA. Growing up with my brother we loved the show and learning about life. Just goes to show you we can learn from TV shows.

Last week I was given the opportunity to take a camera crew up there (25 min from Philly) and show them around! As I walked around I sort of wished I had a son/daughter to play with but nonetheless maybe in the future haha. Enjoy the video shot entirely through a Flip Cam!

Persons Unknown : Show Unknown

So as we all know NBC canceled HEROES and ABC finally pulled the plug on Lost. So now what are we to do with our lives? How about watch another show that will make us go crazy...Persons Unknown! The story follows 7 complete strangers whom all wake up in a hotel and ask, "Why am I here?!" They soon find out they are trapped in some strange small town where Chinese men serve them Chinese food. The hotel is also run by one staff member who mentioned in episode two, "Don't or they'll kill me." So who are they? I don't know and it's getting on my nerves. By the end of the summer there will be a dramatic ending with more unanswered questions.

One more thing. Can someone also tell me how Televisa is involved? What's the connection!?

What is your Mundo

Ford has rolled out a new campaign specifically targeting Spanish speaking communities in the US and is built on the concept of "What is your Mundo", with an emphasis on the personalities of 3 characters and their "mundo". How is the new Ford Fiesta relevant?

Well cars have personalities, we seem to give our car a name and we always like to add new features to it. I like these commercials because they don't feature the car and they aren't necessarily selling it to you. Get it?
