Summer Solstice

Summer is just around corner so everyone is celebrating in their own unique way. It's going to be a sunny/warm weekend so I suggest you start your plans...yesterday. Something different you can do is kick off the summer in style as artists from Philly and beyond descend on the Kimmel Center for fifteen hours of nonstop fun—all for only $10! During the day, enjoy family activities, face painting, classical, and dance performances. As the sun sets, get down with indie bands, club dancing, Forte's late-night lounge, and a drag show.

For you bomba y plena enthusiasts, join Tato Torres and Yerbabuena starting at 7:30 p.m. Yerbabuena is a group of composed of musicians, singers and dancers from the New York City area, who share an intense passion for the musical traditions of Puerto Rico and the Caribbean under the musical direction of singer-composer-musician Tato Torres. It's great seeing the Kimmel Center expand with different programming for the summer. Will you join them?
