So our dear "hispanic" governor of New Mexico has abandoned Obama's nomination for Commerce secretary. I believe Richardson was the first Hispanic to be on his team. *sigh*Why did he leave? Of course it had to do something with a criminal investigation dealing with money. Surprised? lol
“Let me say unequivocally that I and my administration have acted properly in all matters and that this investigation will bear out that fact,” Richardson said. “But I have concluded that the ongoing investigation also would have forced an untenable delay in the confirmation process. Given the gravity of the economic situation the nation is facing, I could not in good conscience ask the president-elect and his administration to delay for one day the important work that needs to be done.”Oh well it must've happened for a reason and for the best. He didn't want anything to hold back Obama's inauguration, although I don't anything would've LOL.
