In case you missed #Latism-DC

After attending Latism-DC I realized one thing: WE ARE OUT THERE! Latism-DC was a great experience because I:
  1. Learned a few new tips and tricks
  2. Engaged in conversations with influential Latinos
  3. Got to meet some of the founders/creators of Latism and Latism-DC!
LatISM DC, part of the LatISM Heritage Tour, was a conference that brought together a select group of Latinos in social media and business leaders in the region to discuss current topics related to social media. Everything from social media branding, management and even Gov 2.0 was discussed. I personally enjoyed the live Twitter chat/party (pictured above). Usually on a normal Thursday night, LatISM hosts virtual Twitter parties where we engage in conversation about...well Latinos in social media. It's a great way to learn new things and gain followers. But remember, as @Julito77 says, it's not about the number of followers you have; it's about how you connect with them.

Here's a great recap about how LatISM-DC began.
